“We have described for you a mountain. We have shown you a path to the top. We call on you to do the climbing.”

Justice Minister Murray Sinclair, chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission

Justice Murray Sinclair endured witnessing 7000 heart-wrenchinglife stories of institutional abuse and racism. He chronicledgovernment-led cultural genocide. Yet, in his final report, he articulates his belief that every Canadian can and will forge a new partnership with all Indigenous People. His words fill me with hope and energy.

I believe in this new path and this way of being! My colleagues in education are capable and ready to meet the challenge. The collections of articles that I have written are shared in the spirit of this partnership.
